The Global Fund for Women is now giving grants to women's organisations outside the US to support their efforts in protecting and promoting women's rights and advancing gender equality. Find out how you can access these grants.

The Global Fund for Women (GWF), an international network of women and men working toward equality and social justice, is advocating for and defending women's human rights by making grants available for women's groups around the world. Any women's organisation, based outside the US and committed to women's equality and women's human rights are encouraged to apply.

There are three types of grants that GFW offers:
1. General Support Grants—flexible, small grants that cover general operating and project expenses
2. Travel and Event Grants—small grants that support members of an organisation to attend conferences and events
3. Organising Meeting/Event Grants—small grants to support organisations in planning a time-sensitive conference or event.

GFW values local expertise and believes that women themselves know best how to determine their needs and propose solutions for lasting change. Among the focus of the organisations that GWF considers for funding are the following:
- peace-building and ending gender-based violence
- advancing health and sexual and reproductive rights
- expanding civic and political participation
- ensuring economic and environmental justice
- increasing access to education
- fostering social change philanthropy
