Mumbai, 16 January 2004 - Women are making their presence felt like never before at the ongoing World Social Forum (WSF) 2004 in Mumbai, India. A large venue for mass organisations and social movements to gather and build alliances to oppose anti-people globalisation and create a more just world, WSF has traditionally been dominated by males.

 

At the ongoing 2004 World Social Forum in Mumbai, India, are a number of events organised by women NGOs.

A Dialogue between Movements: Breaking Barriers and Building Bridges - organized by the National Network of Autonomous Women's Groups, Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN), Marcosur Feminist Articulation (AFM), and Women's International Coalition for Economic Justice (WICEJ), the event will be held on 19 January 2004 at Hall 3 NESCO Grounds from 9 am to 12.
